About Lifesaving

Rosebud & McCrae Lifesaving Club is part of a vast network of Life Saving Clubs that patrol the states coastal and inland waters to provide a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience.

The lifesaving network extends from Mildura in the north, to Mallacoota in the east and Portland in the west. Over 30,000 volunteer club members are a part of this network.

Beaches are patrolled from November through to April and it is during this time that volunteers are asked to patrol beaches. Outside of these times there is training and other social opportunities to refresh or learn new skills and prepare for the season ahead.

There are a variety of lifesaving activities to suit a range of ages and abilities for local residents and holiday makers alike. There are opportunities for just about everyone to become involved!
